SG ARTIST DIAGNOSED WITH BREAST CANCER
PLEASE PRAY FOR SHERI EASTER
In an entry on her public blog.. Sheri Easter tells fans that she has breast cancer  Sheri says she got the news this week.. "I cried until it hurt and then, I cried more. Morgan was sitting with me when I got the call. Jeff, Madison and everyone on our bus quickly came to the front lounge and along with me were broken. I wanted to say 'I'm sorry' but I stopped myself because I knew they'd remind me that it wasn't my fault. Jeff called my mama, my brother and several of my closest friends because I couldn't speak."

Sheri told blog readers she found a lump last October,.. but mammogram results indicated that everything was ok.   Then last week she read a report that questioned the reliability of mammogram results,.. and schedule another check up.  Sheri received the latest report from her surgeon  Wednesday.

Easter met with doctors Thursday afternoon (07/03/08) to discuss her course of action. She will be undergoing surgery with the possibility of a mastectomy.  Sheri adds: "Please pray that we make wise decisions. I may not be able to schedule life, but I am assured that God can."

TONY GREENE IN HOSPITAL
The Singing News website reports that Tony Greene (The Greenes) was admitted to a Winston-Salem, North Carolina hospital earlier this week. Greene was to undergo a surgical procedure, Thursday, to put a dialysis port in his stomach. Green will soon begin Peritoneal Dialysis,.. a temporary procedure while he awaits a kidney transplant. Tony was diagnosed with end-stage renal failure seven years ago. His kidney function now is less than 10%.
The Greene family asks that everyone be praying for them as they start this new chapter in their lives. Tony plans to return to the road next week.

If you would like to send a get well card.. mail to :

Additional info: In peritoneal dialysis, a dialysis fluid is entered into the patient’s abdominal (= peritoneal) cavity (the “belly”), which is covered by a thin membrane, containing many small blood vessels. This membrane, called the peritoneum, is like a big bag that keeps the stomach, intestines, liver, and other organs in place. The dialysis fluid will make water, salts, and the waste products move from the blood into the fluid (also called solution). This process is called dialysis, and means that the peritoneum works as a dialysis filter.
